Here's some facts about me...and all of the roles I have and hats I wear....
I'm pretty much just a small town girl who followed her dreams
I am madly in love with my husband and completely head-over-heels when it comes to my incredibly wonderful 5 children
I love to connect with others...I just really really really LOVE people
I was born in 1971 in Nampa, Idaho…the 6th of 9 children
I am a 4th generation Idahoan and graduated from the same high school that my grandparents & my mother graduated from; with a whopping 28 people in my graduating class.
I started my business, Chatterbox, in 1997 when I was 25, from my kitchen table...
I have been an artist since I was old enough to hold a pencil and have giddily watched my childhood artist dreams come true
I have been married for 16 years to my high-school sweetheart....we will be rocking our grandbabies together someday on our front porch.....
Our 5 children fill our 100 year old farm house with love & laughter
I am the author of 8 books...and counting
I own 97 pairs of shoes that I love but I still prefer my bare feet
My childhood nicknames were “Motor-Mouth” and “Chatterbox” but Chatterbox made a much better business name…and, it seems I still have a lot to say
I was one of 3 finalists for the 2005 Business Woman of the Year from the National Association of Women Business Owners
I have been a guest on QVC, HSN, DIY and the Carol Duvall Show
I have a weakness for a good crème brulee
I read 3-5 books at a time and even remember some of what I have read
I am the winner of the 2006 Alfred P. Sloan Award
I prefer a room full of sofas to a conference room…in fact, our conference room IS a room full of sofas
I regularly contribute to several magazines
I love unique and authentic things – especially unique and authentic people
I speak and train organizations regularly about leadership, teamwork & finding your personal mission
I have had many victories, but never without struggles on the way... I believe in getting back up when you get knocked down.

I run at 5am every morning after I hit the snooze button approximately 19 times
I love New York City almost as much as Boise, Idaho
I just made it through 3 very painful years of taking care of my husband after a traumatic brain injury. He is doing so much better…thank your for asking.
I have an MBA and a PHD, with honors, from the School of Hard Knocks. I return from time to time for continuing education.
